Have you had a situation lately where you felt judged? Did someone misinterpret who you really are? I have. It sucked. It shook my confidence. I wasted a few days procrastinating because I was so disappointed. But you know what? It was one of the best things that happened to me. I got in touch with my feistiness— a feeling that really gets me determined and in touch with my true essence! I know who I am. I know what I am capable of. I know I do awesome work with my clients and they get incredible results. I am so honored to do what I do. Why the hell do I care about what others think? And why do you?
I show up and I do the absolute best I can. Always. And with love. I bet you do to. The rest of the story is up to everybody else.
They get think what they want. And there’s nothing you or I can do about it. BUT—be authentically yourself.
What’s happened in your life lately that shook your confidence?
How can you use that to propel you forward?
Because if you think about it— it’s probably a good thing it happened. What can you take away from that situation?
I had to remind myself that it truly doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks about me besides myself.
This is some of the most freeing work you can do for yourself. It feels amazing.
The time you save when you don’t worry about what others think about you is massive.
And imagine that flying freedom feeling. A world in which you stand up as you— unapologetically. You’re the authority of you. No one else ever is. That’s true self-confidence. I’m not saying it’s easy. But it’s certainly possible with practice.
It’s not the absence of fear that creates self-confidence.
It’s the willingness to feel fear and do it anyway. You can’t have self-confidence unless you're willing to feel fear and go for it regardless. Eventually, the fear becomes less. You gain momentum and then you know you’re on the right path.
PRACTICE THESE BELIEFS TO CREATE SELF-CONFIDENCE!
This is what I get to teach my new student coaches at the Life Coach School with Brooke Castillo:
• What others think about me is 100% about them. MY FAV!
• I was made for this.
• Fear is no big deal.
• I am totally capable.
• The worst that can happen is a feeling.
• I have my own back.
• My potential is limitless.
• Failure earns success.
• The better I fail, the more confident I am.
• Worry only pretends to be necessary.
• If something goes wrong. Ask yourself, “So what?” It’s not as bad as you think.
• What I make it mean is the worst that can happen. This will change your life.
KEEP IN MIND THAT ACTIONS INCREASE CAPABILITY AND CAPABILITY INCREASES CONFIDENCE
Progress increases self-confidence. Take massive action. It helps increase your confidence. Do all the stuff you’re scared shitless to do. Repeat. Repeat. Make decisions strongly. Honor your decisions. Look for all the obstacles. Create strategies for those obstacles. Define all your opinions. Totally go balls out and give up needing others’ approval. You will not regret it. Don’t worry, you won’t be less of a good person. You will be more authentically you and that’s the best version of you, you can ever be. For you and for everyone else.
SELF-CONFIDENCE COMES FROM GETTING YOUR OWN APPROVAL
Learn by doing. If you don’t know something, learn by taking action to find out how. Fail and try again. Failure increases your confidence if you allow it to.
DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO ANYONE. IT SERVES NO PURPOSE AND TAKES YOU OFF YOUR TRACK AND WASTE TIME.
It never helps anything. Comparing yourself to others is one of the hugest time wasters I see with my clients. You gotta knock that crap out. You got this. Do what you feel is right for you. Not what someone else is doing. Stop looking at what other are doing. Tune into what you truly want to be doing.
Go out and be your badass self.
I send you the courage to love yourself and follow your true path. Trust me. Your true path is IMPORTANT. And so are you. If you need help with this let’s connect. I got you. XO
