During this time, we will discuss what you are looking for in therapy and whether we are a good fit.  I will also answer any other questions you might have, as well as discuss fees and scheduling. Should we decide to move forward with an initial appointment, we will be sure to exchange necessary information. With respect to the initial in-office appointment, you will need to fill out certain paperwork, so please plan to arrive 15 minutes early. Following the initial in-office appointment, we can decide together whether we want to proceed further with a therapeutic relationship. Typically, I see clients once a week, at the same time each week. Sometimes, if a person is in serious distress, I will recommend meeting more than once per week. Depending on your unique needs, you may benefit from a 1.5 or 2 hour session. These longer sessions are sometimes very helpful especially in couples therapy. We will tailor the meeting time and session length to meet your specific situation. I have included a few pictures of the office so that you can get a feel for the environment in which we will meet.
